1. Firstly, the electrical layout engineer shall provide the functions, electrical loads and relevant special requirements of the electrical system of the whole vehicle. The state, installation position, and the connection form between the harness and the electrical parts.

2. According to the electrical functions and requirements provided by the electrical layout engineer, the electrical schematic diagram and circuit diagram of the whole vehicle can be drawn.

3. Carry out energy distribution for each electrical subsystem and circuit according to the electrical principle circle, including the distribution of grounding wire of power supply and grounding point.

4. According to the distribution of electrical components of each subsystem, determine the wiring form of the harness, the electrical components connected to each harness and the direction on the vehicle; Determine the external protection form of the harness and the protection of the through hole; Determine the fuse or circuit breaker according to the electrical load; Then determine the wire diameter of the wire according to the quantity of the fuse or circuit breaker; Determine the wire color of the conductor according to the function of electrical components and relevant standards; Determine the model of the terminal and sheath on the harness according to the connector of the electrical component itself.

5. Draw two-dimensional harness diagram and three-dimensional harness layout diagram.

6. Check the two-dimensional harness diagram according to the approved three-dimensional harness layout. The two-dimensional harness diagram can be sent only if it is accurate. After approval, it can be trial produced and produced according to the harness diagram.
